- The Nevada state GOP Convention was cut short last month when the convention chairman, Bob Beers, called for a recess siting timing issues that caused budgetary constraints.
- The following day the Nevada Republican Party chairwoman, Sue Lowden, announced that the date to reconvene the convention would be announced the week of April 28th.
- It has been two weeks and a date has yet to be selected.
- MercuryNews.Com reported that "Zach Moyle, the state party's executive director, said Monday the plan is still to have the convention in the Reno area, but it has been tough to arrange on short notice for space for a big crowd. There were more than 1,300 people at the party's April 26 convention in Reno."
- Possible alternative options being researched include mail-in balloting or teleconferencing with a goal of completing the convention by mid-June.
