- The Washington State GOP convention will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008 through Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Spokane Convention Center.
- Despite the fact that John McCain is the presumptive nominee The Seattle Times reports that in many counties Ron Paul has substantial support.
- According to The Seattle Times in Spokane County (5th Congressional District), 106 of the 114 delegates going to the state convention are Ron Paul supporters, along with 11 of 13 delegates from Stevens County, four of eight from Asotin County, and two of five from both Lincoln and Ferry counties.
- As has been the case in other states, the Washington State GOP has already instituted one last minute rules change concerning delegates. It is uncertain how that change will affect the Ron Paul supporters. The text of the rules change resolution can be viewed here.
