According to many opinion polls lawyers (and senators) are among the most hated professions. Interestingly enough many of this year's Presidential candidates are one or both.

• Barack Obama (D) - Lawyer and Senator
• Fred Thompson (R) - Lawyer and former Senator
• Hillary Clinton (D) - Lawyer and Senator
• John Edwards (D) - Lawyer and former Senator
• John McCain (R) - Senator
• Ron Paul (R) - Senator CORRECTION: Dr. Paul is not a Senator he is a Congressman in the US House of Representatives.
• Mitt Romney (R) has a JD but, never practiced.
