Ron Paul Wins Half of Minnesota Republican Delegates for National Convention

  • Last weekend Republican National Convention delegates were elected at congressional district meetings in Minnesota.
  • Ron Paul supporters won 6 of the 12 national delegates available.
  • "They'll be national delegates, but at the end of the day, that doesn't change anything because John McCain is going to be our nominee," said party spokesman Mark Drake.
  • Marianne Stebbins, Ron Paul's Minnesota campaign manager said "If we get enough delegates, we'll be able to get [Paul] speaking time at the convention."
