With between 95% and 99% of precincts reporting John McCain received 408,638 votes to Mike Huckabee's 284,169, Ron Paul's 39,882 and Alan Keyes's 2,951 in the Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC primaries.
John McCain received 50%, 55% and 68% of the votes in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC respectively while Huckabee received 41%, 29% and 17%, Paul received 5%, 6%, 8% and Keyes received 0%, 1% and 0% for the same states. The remaining percentage of voters cast their votes for former candidates Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Rudy Guiliani, Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo.

With between 92% and 99% of precincts reporting Barack Obama received 1,146,976 votes to Clinton's 647,743 in the Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC primaries.
Barack Obama received 64%, 59% and 75% of the votes in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC respectively while Clinton received 35%, 37% and 24% for the same states. The remaining percentage of voters cast their votes for former candidates John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, Bill Richardson, Joe Biden, Mike Gravel, Chris Dodd, or as uncommitted.
